This is a renovated CCC Campground with 2 new bath houses and renovated pads. This is a rustic place over 10 miles up a state maintained dirt road. No hookups and has common water spigot. Small campers and tenters only. Very clean and quiet place. Only $10 a night. Nestled privately in the mountains of NC.

Paved loops for bike riding. Sites were semi secluded from each other and decently sized with picnic table and fire ring. Not bad for cheap price.

Good spot for a weekend or in a pinch. They did have full hook up spots, but not many of them. Lots of room to stretch out and the view is phenomenal!

With our discount, the camp was a great value. There was a decent playground for the kids. There was a swimming area in the river thing. Lots of room for kids and dog to run.

Bathrooms were in a trailer in the middle of the camp. They were clean and well maintained. Showers had real doors to keep water from going everywhere.

They have a Verizon Hotspot if you go up to the office. You can't reach it from the sites. Owner explained that cable company wouldn't bring internet to them (typical of those companies). If I had more time I would offer to get some wifi going for them.

This is a fairly new campground. It's under new ownership, and if they continue treating customers great they will have no problem making it. It's a nice place to hang out and would be great for season summer place.

Seemed like a good deal until they started tacking on fees that were not listed online. Got nailed with a kid fee and an out of state fee and a pet fee. Then the site were all electric only, no water or sewer. The spots were all grass with a concrete pad for the picnic table. The ground was wet and soft. We ended up stuck and needed pulled out. Luckily I carry tow straps and someone was able to give us a pull.

State park had plenty to do. Playground was pretty small. The swimming area was closed because of tainted water. There was plenty of room to run and play otherwise.

This is probably a great place for weekenders. You are not allowed alcohol so you won't have to worry about rowdiness. All the facilities are a little dated, and we felt very ripped off after we saw what you got for how much they charged. Gravel would make a world of difference for their RV spots. Staff guy even told us people get stuck all the time.

Fishing river running along one side of the campground. If you like to fish this would be a great place to do it. Right next door to the state park, so lots to do there.

Place seemed like more a retirement community with several of the tenants being much older. They were all friendly and tried to be helpful since the staff wasn't around. If they threw in a playground setup at one end it would be pretty decent.
